BSC 2085
Anatomy & Physiology I
0.000 Credits
BSC 2085 Anatomy and Physiology I (3) (A.A.): Three hours lecture per week. Corequisite: BSC 2085L. Prerequisite: 83 or higher on the ACCUPLACER test OR 106 or higher on the PERT (Postsecondary Education Readiness Test in reading). Students who graduated with a Florida standard diploma after 2009 are exempt from the aforementioned prerequisites. This course meets Area V requirements for the A.A./A.S. general education requirements. This course is the first part of a two-semester sequence in which students examine human anatomy and physiology through a systems approach based on the interaction between form and function, from the microscopic components of cells and tissues to the organismal level. Emphasis is placed on histology and the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems. It is strongly recommended that students without recent course work in biology take BSC 1007 and BSC 1007L or BSC 1020 BEFORE taking BSC 2085 and BSC 2085L
