(1) (A.A.) Corequisite: BSC 1007. This course is the companion course to Introduction to Biology (BSC 1007). The course is designed to give the student an understanding of the unifying principals governing life. The course is a recommended prerequisite for BSC2010 and BSC 2010L BSC2085 and BSC 2085L and can be used as a prerequisite for MCB2010 and MCB 2010L. Students already with credit for BSC2010 or BSC 2010L cannot subsequently receive credit for this course. Course topics include chemistry of living organisms cell structures and functions energy and its transformations cell division processes genetics and review of current biology research. Please note that students who withdraw from lecture or lab will be withdrawn from the appropriate co-requisite course. Additional special fees are required.
